Asha Agarwal is a senior property consultant with over 20 years’ experience across affordable home ownership and the new-build housing sector. A woman of colour operating in a traditionally male-dominated industry, she has built her career within some of the UK’s most prominent property organisations, including L&Q, before progressing to Director level leading the shared ownership arm of global real estate firm Savills.
Across her career, Asha has helped over 1,000 first-time buyers access home ownership, giving her a strong, practical understanding of customer outcomes, affordability pressures and the real-world impact of housing delivery.
She now leads Inspire New Homes, an award-winning consultancy advising housing associations, local authorities and private developers on optimising the full new-homes sales journey. Her work focuses on accelerating sales performance, strengthening governance and embedding best practice, enabling organisations to maximise income and reinvest surpluses into affordable housing delivery.
Asha brings extensive experience of assessing quality and performance across new-build schemes, with involvement from concept through to delivery, including design, specification, placemaking, amenities and sales strategy. Her naturally inquisitive, evidence-led approach gives her a clear understanding of what drives successful outcomes and where projects fall short.
As a judge, Asha offers a balanced, informed and objective perspective, combining commercial awareness with a strong focus on customer experience, design quality, innovation and long-term sustainability. She is committed to recognising excellence, integrity and genuine impact within the residential property sector.
I’m delighted to be part of The Conveyancing Awards. I started my career progressing property sales and supporting first-time buyers, where conveyancing was a crucial part of the process. I am Becky Bromfield and am a Partner and Head of the Conveyancing Department at GA Solicitors. Having attended Plymouth University and completed my training contract in Plymouth I have lived in Plymouth all of my life.
When studying land law at University if anyone had told me that I would want to work in conveyancing I would have laughed at them, having had my heart firmly set on family law at that stage. That being said, I love working in a busy conveyancing department and could not imagine myself doing anything different. I love that every day is different and every property transaction is different and thoroughly enjoy the challenges each day brings.

Laura Cartwright

Laura Cartwright is a seasoned Conveyancer who has an impressive career from a humble beginning as a Legal Secretary to achieving the position of Partner at Bell Lamb & Joynson. Recognising her potential, Laura pursued her higher education while working, eventually obtaining her FCILEx qualification. She has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of the Conveyancing Department and has demonstrated remarkable leadership and expertise as Head of Department providing guidance to her colleagues.
Her story serves as an inspiration to aspiring legal professionals and the limitless possibilities that can be achieved through determination and hard work. Winning Female Trailblazer of the Year 2025 at the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards signifies that Laura is actively paving the way for future generations of women in law, leaving a lasting impact on the profession and inspiring others to follow her path.
Alongside her role at Bell Lamb & Joynson, Laura is a co-host of Bricks & Banter, a podcast exploring the realities of life in the residential property world.
Sarah Dwight
Sarah Dwight Solicitors
Sarah is a Sole Practitioner, working exclusively in residential conveyancing. She believes that solicitors have a vital role in the house moving process , acting not only to ensure that the legal aspects are correct but juggling the demands of a chain and holding clients’ hands throughout what can be a difficult and stressful process.
She is actively involved with the Law Society and is the Co-Chair of the Law Society Conveyancing and Land Law Committee. Sarah is a keen runner, having completed over 100 Park Runs and run the London Marathon within the last year.
Why I want to be involved?
It is important to recognise those who work hard within the conveyancing world. It is a difficult and stressful job and events like this bring together the talent in our world – and it allows us to meet those to whom we speak regularly but never meet in this ever more digitised life.
Marion Ellis

Marion Ellis is a Chartered Surveyor (FRICS) and Chartered Building Engineer, specialising in client experience, complaint handling and professional standards within the property sector. She is the founder of Love Surveying, where she works with surveyors and property professionals to improve service delivery, reduce risk and build more effective client relationships.
Marion has extensive experience across both practice and governance, and is known for her practical, balanced approach to improving standards without overcomplicating delivery. Her work focuses on helping professionals move beyond good intentions to consistent, evidence-based client care.
Alongside her consultancy and training work, Marion contributes to industry discussions on consumer protection, communication, and professional practice.
Clients experience the home move as one journey. The firms that stand out bring clarity early, deliver consistency, reduce delays, and help people understand what matters before it becomes a problem.
Nicky Heathcote
The Conveyancing Association / PEXA
With a career spanning nearly 40 years in the property sector, Nicky currently holds the
position of chair at both the Conveyancing Association and the PCCB Compliance
Committee. She stepped down from chairing the Board of Propertymark in 2023 and joined the board of PEXA in March 2024.
Nicky is a long standing Ambassador for NEDonBoard and provides 1:1 NED coaching and Board level training. Her extensive experience is supported by her previous high-level roles in the public sector, including her tenure as Chief of Staff at HM Land Registry and her work at the Gambling Commission.
Jason Lee FNAVA MNAEA

Jason is a vastly experienced sales and auction expert with a demonstrated history of building and growing companies. He worked in agency as both agent and supplier for over 25 years and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and results. Jason takes pride in development, training and nurturing of all the team and watching them flourish and strong advocate of collaboration. Multi-award winning in both agency and suppliers’ category from EA Masters, Sunday Times and Negotiator Awards.
I’m looking forward to judging the Conveyancing Awards 2026 as it provides an opportunity to celebrate innovation and excellence within the industry. It’s also a great chance to highlight the importance of collaboration between conveyancers and agencies for better client outcomes.

Jo Morgan is a Partner of Coodes LLP and heads the Commercial Property team. Coodes LLP are an established full service practice with 8 offices employing over 170 staff. The property teams contribute over one third of the firms income. She has led and grown the Commercial Property team for over seven years, following several years as a Partner within the firm’s Residential Property leadership team.
She has more than 20 years’ experience with particular focus in the development sector acting for established developers and landowners across the region. Alongside her client practice & Team management, Jo contributes to the wider firm development by leading internal initiatives such as an Office relocation and the firms Agility team. In recognition of her leadership skills, she was shortlisted for Leader of the Year in the Cornwall Law Society Awards 2025.
Tom Parkinson

Tom is a Director and Solicitor at Rowlinsons Solicitors in Cheshire, where he leads their award-winning Property Department. With over 19 years experience in Residential and Commercial Property, Tom specialises in complex, high-value transactions and has built strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, wealth management companies, and property developers.
In addition to his departmental responsibilities which include overseeing operations, compliance and business development, Tom actively plays a part in the day to day running of the firm with his co-directors.
Tom also serves as a Director at the Conveyancing Association, using his considerable experience and contacts to drive change within the property industry and improve standards. It also provides him with an excellent opportunity to share best practices with others within the property profession and with senior colleagues in other leading property firms.
Lastly Tom has been recognised as “Partner of the Year” of the British Conveyancing Awards 2026 and is one of the top influencers in the UK’s conveyancing sector which underscores Tom’s significant contributions to the profession and solidifies his role as a thought leader and innovator in the field.
He is well-known for co-hosting the popular Bricks & Banter podcast alongside Laura Cartwright from Bell Lamb and Joynson Solicitors where together, they bring listeners an engaging and informative platform which tackles key issues, trends, and challenges facing the conveyancing sector today. The podcast has become a must-listen for industry professionals, offering invaluable insights and light-hearted commentary.
