Our Take Ten With… series is a short, playful interview with each of our sponsors, where they answer ten quickfire questions about their business, why they chose to become an event partner, their opinions on the conveyancing sector, and what they’re looking forward to about The Conveyancing Awards 2026.

Meet David Coplin-Chard, Director & Principal Surveyor, Landview Surveyors…
1. What is your company’s elevator pitch?
We are Landview Surveyors. Considering how obsessed we are with houses in the UK – can you think of a brand in surveying?
That’s what we’re looking to change.
Our aim is to be the standout brand in the country for providing property-centric reports with clients at the heart of everything we do.
2. At The Conveyancing Awards, what should we look out for from your team?
Imagine stereotypical surveyors, now forget that image and think of a group of enthusiastic, young and dynamic individuals who are here to chat, connect and form long-lasting professional relationships!
3. Why was this partnership right for your business?
Our business has grown from a start-up to a team of 18 across the country. We’ve attended multiple awards but considering we have mutual clients (solicitors and surveyors) it made complete sense to partner up with The Conveyancing Awards and celebrate those who work so hard to assist buyers and sellers on their property journey.
4. In three words, how would you describe the conveyancing sector?
Essential. Unsung. Resilient.
5. What’s your advice for anyone new to the awards scene?
It’s about having fun, getting dressed up and networking with other likeminded individuals in your sector.
6. Who/which businesses do you hope to see recognised with an award this year & why?
We couldn’t possibly choose favourites – that would be a conflict of interest!
7. What are you most looking forward to about The Conveyancing Awards?
Discussing shared experiences and celebrating achievements with those in the industry. We are often the “punching bag” during a transaction so it’s essential we let our hair down and receive the recognition for the hard work we do for our clients.
8. If you could book any surprise guest or host, who would it be?
That’s tough a question and I’ll try not to be bias by choosing a personal hero. A host has to be funny and engaging, so I have to go with Rob Beckett or Ricky Gervais.
9. If you had to choose a theme song for The Conveyancing Awards, what would it be?
Surely, it’s got to be “I Fought The Law” by The Clash!
10. How do you get red carpet ready?
All the basics done well; clean shoes, a freshly ironed, crisp white shirt and a (proper tied) bow tie. A great aftershave goes far too!
